Built in 1944: The Matching German byf 44 K98k Mauser
Excellent condition WWII German 98k Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that is marked “byf 44” on the receiver ring for manufacture by Oberndorf in 1944. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Metal finish is excellent original blue showing very little wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows a few normal handling marks. Right side buttstock, underside of wrist, and underside of buttstock have Waffenamts. Complete with correct original cleaning rod and front sight hood. A very nice WWII German 98k Mauser Rifle with matching numbers!
The Karabiner 98k was Germany’s standard bolt-action service rifle throughout WWII. The “byf 44” code identifies this example as a 1944 Mauser-Oberndorf production rifle, manufactured during the final full year of the war. Scarce Spanish-American War Classic: The U.S. Model 1896 Krag Carbine
Very good condition antique Spanish American War US Model 1896 Krag Carbine in .30-40 caliber that is marked “U.S. / MODEL 1896. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. 38585” on the receiver. Gun is in original factory carbine configuration with a 22” barrel and “C” marked Model 1896 rear sight. Front sight blade is a replacement. Barrel has been reblued. Remaining metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore has a few dark pitted spots, otherwise very good and bright with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Handguard has a couple of repaired cracks behind the rear sight. Complete with original saddle ring. Underside of wrist has a “circle P” cartouche. Complete with correct original front sight hood. A hard to find original Model 1896 Krag Cavalry Carbine that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
The Model 1896 Krag Carbine belongs to one of the most recognizable chapters in U.S. military history. Compact carbines were intended primarily for mounted troops, giving cavalrymen a handier alternative to the full-length Krag rifle. Krag carbines served during the Spanish-American War era, when American forces were transitioning toward modern smokeless-powder military arms.

Spanish Wild West? A Rare Toledo-Marked Lever-Action Carbine
Good condition antique Spanish manufactured clone of a Winchester Model 1873 lever action carbine in .44-40 Winchester caliber. Maker marked “ARTILLERIA TOLEDO” on the receiver tang and dated 1892. Unusual full-stock configuration with a saddle ring and bar on the left side of the receiver and a 20” barrel. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear and some patches of pitting. Bore is dark and pitted with average rifling. Stock has been refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has faint serial number and “OVIEDO 1892” roundel cartouches. Mechanically functions fine. A rare and unique Spanish manufactured Winchester carbine that will make a fine addition to a collection.

Very good condition original WWII German Waffen SS “Kharkov” fur-lined parka, made from Italian pattern camo. Shows some normal wear. Complete and has nice fur lining. This original WWII German camouflage, fur-lined winter parka represents the specialized cold-weather clothing associated with Waffen-SS troops on the Eastern Front. Often referred to by collectors as a “Kharkov” parka, garments of this style became closely associated with the brutal winter fighting around Kharkov in 1943. The RB-Nr. marking reflects Germany’s wartime system for identifying manufacturers and suppliers.

Civil War Cavalry Classic: The 5th Model Burnside Carbine
Good condition original antique Civil War US Army 5th Model Burnside Cavalry Carbine. Mechanically functions fine and has good markings in the metal. Original blued and case hardened finishes are mostly worn to brown and gray patinas with a few spots of pitting. Bore is dark and pitted with average rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some wear and handling marks. Left side of wrist has an inspector cartouche. Both sides of buttstock have scratched names or words that are hard to read. Buttstock has Native American style brass tack decoration, with a few tacks missing. An interesting Burnside Carbine that will make a fine addition to a collection!
The Burnside Carbine was one of the most widely issued cavalry carbines of the American Civil War. The 5th Model, introduced during the war, incorporated improvements over earlier versions and was produced in substantial numbers for Union mounted troops. Its compact size and breechloading action made it well suited for soldiers fighting from horseback.

Made in 1855: A Matching Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver
Good condition original antique pre Civil War Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver in .31 percussion blackpowder caliber that is serial number 109xxx, which dates it to manufacture in 1855. Mechanically functions fine and has all matching serial numbers. Brass triggerguard and grip straps have original silver finish showing a little normal wear. Remaining metal finish is old refinished nickel plated finish showing a little normal wear. 4” octagonal barrel has a good bore with strong rifling and some pitting. Grip has been refinished. A good example of a classic Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver for your collection.

Rare Finnish WWII Survivor: The 1941 Tikka M91 Mosin-Nagant
Very good condition WWII Finnish Model 1891 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Tikka Arsenal marking on the barrel and dated 1941. Rifle has the rare “PUOLUSTUSLAITOS” (Defense Department) marking on the barrel. This marking was only used for a short time before the iconic “SA” marking was adopted. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate is unnumbered and buttplate does not match. This is common and correct for Finnish Mosin Nagant rifles. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has an arms depot cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod and Finnish sling hangers. A nice Tikka M91 Mosin Nagant rifle with the rare “PUOLUSTUSLAITOS” marking.
Built by Tikkakoski (Tikka) in 1941, this Finnish Model 1891 Mosin-Nagant dates to the turbulent Continuation War era, when Finland was fighting the Soviet Union. Finland rebuilt and produced Mosin-pattern rifles to exacting standards, often combining existing receivers with Finnish-made barrels and carefully fitted components. This example is especially interesting with its matching bolt and scarce “PUOLUSTUSLAITOS” marking.

Excellent condition Argentine Model 1909 Mauser Rifle in 7.65 x 53mm caliber that has a sharp clear Argentine crest on the receiver ring and DWM Berlin manufacturer markings on the receiver side rail. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has all matching serial numbers including cleaning rod and muzzle cover. Receiver, bolt, and buttplate are nice correct original “in the white”. Remaining metal finish is nice original blue showing very little wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and crisp edges with a few normal handling marks. Right side of stock has a matching serial number below the receiver ring. Complete with correct original matching numbered cleaning rod and muzzle cover. Scarce Württemberg Officer’s Sword: A WWI-Era W.K.&C. M1889
Very good condition original WWI Imperial German Wurttemberg Model 1889 infantry officer sword that is maker marked “W.K.&C.” on the right ricasso along with the king and knight heads trademark. 31 ¾” blade has original bright finish and has been sharpened. Still has original leather washer at the base. Brass hilt has attractive patina. Guard has the Wurttemberg coat of arms. Leather covered grip has tight wire wrap and shows some normal wear. Finger loop has been removed. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has old black repaint with some flaking and a few dents. One throat screw is missing. A hard to find Wurttemberg officer sword that will make a great addition to a collection!
The Model 1889 Infantry Officer Sword (IOD 89) became a distinctive symbol of Imperial German officers, with regional versions used by states including Württemberg. This scarce example was made by renowned Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co. (W.K.&C.) of Solingen, a firm established in 1883.
