Very good condition original Civil War Union Army non-regulation cavalry officer’s sword. This interesting sword was manufactured in Germany, being marked “PDL” on the left ricasso for Luneschloss, and is retailer marked “TIFFANY & CO. NEW YORK” on the right side of the blade. Good condition original Revolutionary War British Pattern 1751 hanger sword. Unit marked “2/28” M/GUERNSEY” on top of the guard. 24 ¾” blade has brown and gray patina with pitting throughout. The brass hilt has an attractive patina. No scabbard. Hard to find a sword that will make a fine addition to a collection.
