Very good condition original Civil War US Navy Model 1852 officer sword that is marked “TIFFANY & CO. NEW YORK” on the right side of the blade and “P.D.L.” on the left ricasso for manufacture by P.D. Luneschloss in Germany. 26” blade has original bright finish with some patches of gray and brown patina. Sharp clear etched naval motifs on both sides. Brass hilt has nice looking patina. Grip has nice tight wire wrap and white sharkskin wrap. Fitted in correct original rayskin covered scabbard that has brass fittings. Scabbard shows some normal wear. A nice US Navy officer sword that will make a fine addition to a collection.
