Excellent condition original WWII Swedish Model 1899 infantry officer sword that has Eickhorn manufacturer markings on the left ricasso. 34” blade has nice original bright finish and sharp clear gold washed etched panels on both sides, including (in Swedish) “Fatherland” on the right side and “The King” on the left. Never sharpened and still has original buff leather washer at the base. Hilt has excellent original gilt finish. Features a lion head pommel. Guard has a Swedish shield design. Grip has tight wire wrap and shows a few normal handling marks. Complete with original knot that is also excellent. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has excellent original black paint and no dents. A beautiful hard to find Swedish M1899 infantry officer sword that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
