Very good condition original antique Revolutionary War American flintlock musket in .65 caliber. Lock is marked “WILSON” and is of British manufacture. Gun was assembled using British 2nd Model Brown Bess triggerguard and ramrod pipes, 1st Model Brown Bess buttplate and wrist escutcheon, a Pattern 1738 Heavy Dragoon sideplate, and an American or French 41 ¼” barrel. Metal finish is nice original brown. Smooth bore is dark and pitted. Brass fittings have nice deep patina. Both sides of forend have a few hairlines. Complete with correct original ramrod. A nice original Revolutionary War flintlock musket that will make an excellent addition to a collection.
