Very good condition US Model 1903 Springfield Rifle in .30-06 caliber. Receiver is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” and is serial number 445xxx, which dates it to manufacture in 1910. Sold as a collectible only. Barrel is marked “SA” for Springfield Armory and dated “8-20” for August 1920. Rifle is fitted with a Lyman receiver aperture sight. Rifle is NOT import marked and has a Remington bolt, Smith Corona buttplate, and early pinned triggerguard. Metal finish is original blued and parkerized showing some normal wear. Bore is good, mostly bright with good rifling that shows some normal wear. C stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of buttstock has National Match “D1836” marking. Stock is cut out for the Lyman sight. A nice US Model 1903 Springfield Rifle for your collection.
