Excellent condition antique Imperial German 71/84 Mauser Rifle in 11mm Mauser caliber that has Spandau Arsenal markings on the barrel and dated 1887 on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Rifle is unit marked “K.F.R.E.2.149.” on the buttplate tang for the Kaiser Franz Garde Grenadier Regiment #2, Ersatz Battalion, Company 2, Weapon 149. Receiver, bolt, and buttplate are correct original “in the white” with a little gray and brown patina. Remaining metal finish is nice original blue showing very little wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and crisp edges with a few normal handling marks. Right side buttstock and underside of buttstock have sharp clear Imperial German proof mark cartouches. A beautiful German 71/84 Mauser Rifle with matching numbers and a desirable unit marking!
