Very good condition WWI US Model 1917 Enfield Rifle in .30-06 caliber that was manufactured by Remington, as marked on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has mixed manufacturer parts, including a “4-18” (April 1918) dated Remington barrel. Metal finish is arsenal refinished gray parkerized showing some normal wear. Bore is fine and bright with strong rifling. Stock was arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of wrist and underside of forend, in front of the triggerguard, have eagle head proof marks. Rifle was supplied to Canada during WWII and has two Canadian “Broad Arrow C” property stamps in the right side buttstock. A nice US P17 Enfield Rifle for your collection.
