Excellent condition Finnish Model 28/30 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that is a very rare “late date” variation, assembled by AV1 and dated 1968 on the barrel. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate and buttplate do not match, which is common and correct for Finnish Mosin Nagant Rifles. Metal finish is excellent original blue. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and crisp edges with a few normal handling marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. AV1 only produced fewer than 800 “late date” M/28-30 Mosin Nagant Rifles, making them far rarer than “late date” M39 rifles. A beautiful example that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
