Very good condition WWII Finnish Civil Guard Model 1928 Mosin Nagant Rifle that has the Tikka marking on the barrel along with the Civil Guard “SY” marking. Left side of barrel has the Sako marking. Rifle has a Civil Guard district number on the right side of the barrel-“S81950” for Savonlinna. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate has a lined-out nonmatching number and buttplate is unnumbered. This is common and correct for Finnish Mosin Nagant Rifles. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. Tikka only produced about 11,500 M/28 barrels. A scarce Finnish Mosin Nagant variation that will make a fine addition to a collection!
