Very good condition original WWII Japanese Navy M1883 officer dress sword. 25” blade has nice original bright finish with false temper line and was never sharpened. Brass hilt has attractive patina and nice cherry blossom designs. Has an 11-leaf guard. Folding reverse guard works as a scabbard latch and works fine. Sharkskin covered grip has tight wire wrap and no damage. Complete with correct original knot that shows some fraying. Also comes with a cloth tag that has nice kanji markings. Fitted in correct original polished rayskin covered wooden scabbard that has brass fitting. Scabbard is in nice condition with no damage. Nice WWII Japanese Navy officer sword that will make a fine addition to a collection!
