Very good condition WWII German 98k Mauser Long Side Rail Sniper Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber. Marked “bcd 4” on the receiver ring for manufacture by Gustloff in 1944. I believe the rail is original, but I am uncertain if the mount is original or reproduction. Scope is marked “AJACK-GERMANY” and “4X90 5330”. Scope has nice original blue finish and clear optics with a simple crosshair reticle. Complete with rubber eyepiece. Uncertain if the scope is original, will be yours to decide. Fits rail well. Rail is complete with protector cap. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Has a key style sniper safety. Metal finish is original gray phosphate showing some wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod, front sight hood, and rubber muzzle cover.
