Very good condition WWI Romanian Model 1893 Mannlicher turnbolt carbine in 6.5 x 53r caliber that has a nice Romanian crest on the receiver ring over the model designation. Manufactured by Steyr in 1910, as marked on the receiver side rail. Gun is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some handling marks and scratches. Left side buttstock has a Romanian crest cartouche. Right side buttstock has a matching serial number. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. There were 60,000 Romanian Model 1893 Carbines produced, and they had a low survival rate. A very rare gun that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
