Very good condition original Persian cavalry sword that was styled after the Russian Model 1881. Sword has nice Farsi numeral markings on the right ricasso and right side of pommel. 31 ½” blade has original bright finish with some brown patina from dried grease. Still has original leather washer at the base. Brass hilt has attractive patina. Wood grip has original finish and a good tight fit, no damage. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has nonmatching Farsi numbers on the throat and tip. Scabbard has nice original blue finish and no dents. A nice Persian cavalry saber for your collection.
