
Very good condition WWII Russian 91/30 Mosin Nagant PU sniper rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Izhevsk Arsenal marking on the barrel and dated 1943. This interesting rifle was originally made as a sniper and was later arsenal reconverted back to a standard rifle. It was later restored to PU sniper configuration. Bolt was converted to a sniper style. The scope and mount are original, scope dated 1943. Rifle is import marked on the receiver and has matching serial numbers on the barrel, bolt, floorplate, and buttplate. Scope mount does not match. Metal finish is Russian arsenal reblue. Bore is dark and pitted with average rifling, rusty from being shot with corrosive ammo. Stock was arsenal refinished. The varnish was later stripped, and the rifle has been wrapped in camouflage cloth tape wrap. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice looking Mosin Nagant sniper rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection or display, a good shooter, or work well for a reenactor.
