Excellent condition US military M1 Garand semi auto rifle in .30-06 caliber. Receiver is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” and is serial number 533xxx, which dates it to manufacture in February 1942. Rifle was arsenal refurbished after the war and has an October 1949 dated Springfield Armory barrel. Bolt, trigger group, and op rod are postwar Springfield Armory. Metal finish is arsenal refinished parkerized, in excellent condition. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Postwar stock has nice original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of stock has a DOD eagle cartouche below the rear of the receiver. Underside of wrist has a “circle P” cartouche. A beautiful Springfield Armory M1 Garand that will make an excellent addition to a collection!
