Very good condition antique Remington Model No. 1 Rolling Block sporting rifle in .45-70 Government caliber. Mechanically functions fine and has nice Remington markings on the barrel and left side of the receiver. Features an adjustable trigger. Receiver and buttplate case colors are worn to brown and gray patina. 30 ¼” heavy octagonal barrel has original blue finish showing some normal wear. Original sights are present. Bore is good with strong rifling and some pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Right side of wrist has a small hairline by the receiver. A nice antique Remington Rolling Block “buffalo rifle” that will make a fine addition to a collection.
