Good condition original antique American militia flintlock musket in .72 caliber. Made using an English lock that is marked “KETLAND”, and French M1763 furniture. Mechanically functions fine and tight. Lock has brown patina with some pitting. Remaining metal is cleaned bright with some scattered gray and brown patina and some scattered pitting. 43” barrel has a good smooth bore with some pitting. Stock has been refinished and has nice looking color. Left side of stock has a repaired crack opposite the lock. Top of wrist has an inlaid silver shield. Right side buttstock has an inlaid silver eagle. Complete with ramrod. An interesting American militia flintlock musket that will make a fine addition to a collection and a great wall hanger!
