Excellent condition WWII Finnish Civil Guard Model 1939 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Sako Arsenal and Civil Guard “Sk.Y.” markings on the barrel and dated 1944. Right side of barrel shank has Civil Guard inventory number “119450” for Oulu District. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has all matching serial numbers including barrel, bolt, and floorplate. Rifle was assembled using a repurposed receiver from a Russian M1891 receiver that was manufactured by Tula in 1898, and so qualifies as an antique, no FFL required to purchase. Metal finish is excellent original blue showing very little wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and crisp edges with a few normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has a sharp clear “43” dated Civil Guard cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A rare Finn Civil Guard M39 Mosin Nagant Rifle, with only 10,700 produced, and with matching numbers and a desirable antique receiver.
