Very good condition original US Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield experimental trowel bayonet that has patent markings on the right side of the socket. Blade has nice original bright finish with a few small brown spots. Socket and shank have nice original blue finish. Swiveling part of socket works fine. No scabbard. A scarce and desirable Trapdoor Springfield trowel bayonet that will make a fine addition to a collection!
