Very fine, near excellent condition Remington Model 4-S “Military Model” Rolling Block Rifle in .22 Short/Long caliber. Mechanically functions fine and tight. Receiver has strong original case colors. Remaining metal finish is nice original blue, with a little wear on the buttplate. 28 3/8” barrel has original sights. Bayonet lug screw is a replacement. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling and a few pits. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks and scratches. A beautiful example of an uncommon Remington Rolling Block variant!
