Good condition original antique New England flintlock militia musket in .70 caliber. Mechanically functions fine. Lock is marked “R. ASHMORE WARRANTED”. Metal has brown and gray patina with some light pitting. 42” barrel has a dark pitted smooth bore. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of forend has two cracks, in front of the side plate. Complete with a brass ramrod. An uncommon New England flintlock militia musket that will make a fine addition to a collection.
