Very good condition WWI German Kar 98az Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that was manufactured by Erfurt Arsenal in 1917, as marked on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers except the handguard. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear to brown and gray patinas. Bore is good with strong rifling and a little gray. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Forend has a repaired duffle cut under the rear band. Handguard has two cracks in front of the rear sight. Right side buttstock and underside of wrist have nice Imperial German proof mark cartouches. Underside of buttstock also has a matching serial number. A nice WWI German Kar 98az Mauser Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
