Very good condition WWII US military issued Remington Model 11 semi auto 12 gauge shotgun that has a 27 ¾” barrel with a Cutts Compensator and was used for aerial gunnery training. Left side of receiver is marked “U.S.” and “MILITARY FINISH” with a flaming bomb. Barrel is marked “PROPERTY OF U.S. NAVY” and has the “OL” date code for July 1942. Serial number 478xxx, which is in the correct range. Receiver and magazine tube cap have nice original parkerized finish. Barrel has original blue finish showing some normal wear and a few scratches. Bore is bright and excellent. Stock has original finish and shows a few normal handling marks. Wrist has nice original checkering. A hard to find U.S. Navy marked Remington Model 11 shotgun that will make a fine addition to a collection.
