Excellent condition antique German 71/84 Mauser Rifle in 11mm Mauser caliber that has Spandau Arsenal markings on the barrel and dated 1887 on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. Receiver, bolt, and buttplate are nice original “in the white”. Remaining metal finish is excellent original blue. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. The front sling swivel is broken. Right side buttstock and underside of buttstock have sharp clear Imperial German proof mark cartouches. Rifle is unit marked “35.R.R.286.” on the buttplate tang for the Recruiting Depot of the 35th (Brandenburg) Fusiliers “Prince Henry of Prussia”. A nice 71/84 Mauser Rifle for your collection.
