
Good condition original WWI Imperial German army “Druckkopf” push-button flare pistol that is maker marked “J.K.” on the left side of the frame for manufacture by Jacob Kessler, Zella Mehlis/Thuringia. Mechanically functions fine. Unit marked “J.R.181.3.M.G.K.7.” on the front grip strap for the 181st (15th Royal Saxon) Infantry Regiment, 3rdMachine Gun Company, Weapon 7. Metal has mostly brown patina. 9 ½” barrel has a dark oxidized bore. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit. Original lanyard ring is present. A nice, scarce WWI German flare gun for your collection.
