Very good condition original antique Civil War era Greene breechloading rifle in .53 caliber percussion. Mechanically functions fine and has patent markings on the receiver tang. Metal finish is original bright with some scattered brown patina. Bore is good, mostly bright, with strong rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. A hard to find Greene breechloading rifle, with only 1,500 made, that will make a fine addition to a collection.
