Very good condition original WWII Finnish Civil Guard M28 Mosin Nagant bayonet that is maker marked “HACKMAN & CO.” on the left ricasso and has a Civil War “=S=” marking on the left side of the guard. Bottom of tang has Finn Civil Guard issue number. Blade has nice original bright finish. Hilt has original blue finish showing some wear and a few pits. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit with some normal handling marks. Lock button functions fine. Fitted in correct original steel scabbard that has black paint finish with some flaking, no dents. Also complete with the scarce original leather frog. Leather is soft and supple with some wear, stitching and rivets are tight. Missing the securing strap. A hard to find Finnish bayonet that will make a fine addition to a collection.
