Very good condition US Model 1898 Krag Jorgensen Rifle in .30-40 caliber that is marked “U.S. / MODEL 1898. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. 278138” on the receiver. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Left side of wrist has a sharp clear 1902 dated “JSA” inspector cartouche. Underside of wrist has a “circle P” cartouche. A really nice US Model 1898 Krag Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection!
