MASSIVE BEAUTIFUL GUN
Good condition original antique American .54 caliber flintlock muzzleloading target rifle. Lock has faint “GOLCHER” markings and mechanically functions fine. Features double set triggers. Metal has brown and gray patina. Rifle is fitted with a long brass tube peep sight with a blade/bead front sight that is encapsulated by the tube. 38 ¼” heavy octagonal barrel measures 1 ½” across at the muzzle and has a very good bore with strong rifling and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Brass buttplate and triggerguard have attractive patina. Complete with original wooden ramrod. An impressive heavy barreled flintlock target rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
