Very good condition WWII Japanese Type 99 Arisaka Rifle in 7.7mm caliber that has a full untouched mum on the receiver and was manufactured as part of the 27th Series by Tokyo Juki Kogyo. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including receiver, bolt body, extractor, safety, and firing pin. Rifle has correct late war features including pinned front band, short handguard, simple peep rear sight, cylindrical bolt handle, welded safety, and wooden buttplate. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Stock is cut for earlier war features, which is a correct “transitional” feature. Underside of buttstock has two small kanji character inspector proof marks. A nice example of a scarce 27th Series T-99 with mum and matching numbers.
