Excellent, unissued condition antique Imperial German 71/84 Mauser Rifle in 11mm Mauser caliber that has Spandau Arsenal markings on the barrel and dated 1888 on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers right down to the screws. Mechanically excellent including working magazine cutoff. Receiver, bolt, and buttplate are correct original “in the white”. Remaining metal finish is excellent original blue. Bore is bright and excellent with sharp rifling. Stock has excellent original finish and shows a few normal handling marks. Right side buttstock and underside of buttstock have sharp crisp Imperial German proof mark cartouches. A superb example that will make an impressive addition to a collection!
