ARSENAL RESTOCKED IN M39 STOCK
Very good condition WWII Finnish Civil Guard Model 28/30 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has the Sako Arsenal marking on the barrel and dated 1943, along with the “Sk.Y.” Civil Guard marking. This interesting rifle was restocked in an M39 stock at a Finnish arsenal. This is a documented upgrade, NOT later “bubba” done. Right side of barrel shank has two lined-out Civil Guard “S” prefix district markings-“27376” for Pohjois Satakunta and “”32481” for Varsinais Suomi. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has matching serial numbers on the barrel and bolt. Floorplate is unnumbered and buttplate is nonmatching. This is common and correct for Finnish Mosin Nagant Rifles. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has excellent original finish and crisp edges. Handguard has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Has a crack in front of the rear sight. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice Finn M28/30 Mosin Nagant Rifle for your collection.
