Good condition original Argentine Model 1909 Engineer Short Sword that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Sword has a full untouched Argentine crest on the right ricasso and is maker marked “WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO. SOLINGEN” on the left ricasso. Blade has original bright finish with some areas of brown and gray patina. Hilt has original bright finish with some gray and brown patina. Wood grips have original finish and a good tight fit with some normal handling marks. Matching numbered steel scabbard has original blue finish with some brown scale and pitting, no dents. Also complete with correct original brown leather frog. Leather is supple with some wear. Stitching is tight. Male snap is torn loose but present.
