Very good condition early post-WWII Czech 98k Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that has BRNO factory markings on the receiver side rail and a Czech lion marking next to the serial number. The Czech lion crest on the receiver ring was scrubbed. Rifle is NOT import marked and has matching serial numbers on the receiver and bolt. Safety does not match. Rifle has the distinctive large winter triggerguard. Metal finish is nice original blue showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows a few normal handling marks. Undersides of forend and buttstock each have a filled hole where a sling swivel stud was installed.
