Very good condition WWI US Model 1903 Springfield Rifle in .30-06 caliber. Receiver is marked “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY” and is serial number 926xxx, which dates it to manufacture in 1918. Barrel is marked “SA” for Springfield Armory and dated “4-18” for April 1918. Rifle is NOT import marked. Metla finish is original parkerized with some turned brown patina. Bore is very good and bright with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of wrist has a faint “circle P” cartouche. Stock is marked “E” in the magazine cutoff cutout and “S” on the forend tip. Trigger is serrated. A nice WWI US Model 1903 Springfield Rifle.
