Very good condition original pre WWII Japanese army Type 32 sword that is complete with matching numbered scabbard. Sword has the Tokyo Arsenal marking on the guard and dated Taisho 14 for 1925. Sword is the shorter Otsu model with a 30 ½” blade, issued to all NCOs and men in the military police and transportation corps and all master sergeants in the infantry, engineers, and artillery. Blade has beautiful original bright finish. Hilt is “in the white” with some gray and brown patina. Wood grip has original finish and shows some normal wear and handling marks. Finger loop has been removed. Complete with working scabbard latch. Matching numbered steel scabbard has nice original blue finish and no dents. A nice Type 32 sword with matching numbers.
