Excellent condition WWII Italian Model 1938 Carcano Short Rifle in 7.35 x 51mm caliber that was manufactured by Terni Arsenal in 1939, as marked on the barrel. This interesting rifle was one of 100,000 ordered by Finland during the Winter War, but not delivered until summer 1940. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers including barrel and stock. Metal finish is excellent original blue. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has nice original finish and crisp edges with a few normal handling marks. Left side buttstock has sharp clear matching serial number and Terni 1939 roundel cartouches. Complete with correct original en block clip and three-piece cleaning rod that stores in the butt trap. A really nice Finn marked M38 Carcano Short Rifle with matching numbers!
