Good condition antique Sharps New Model 1863 saddle ring carbine that was originally made as a percussion and later converted to .50-70 metallic cartridge. Mechanically works fine. The hammer spur has been cut down. Metal has brown and gray patina. 22” barrel has original sights. Bore is good with strong three-groove rifling and some pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some wear and handling marks. The saddle ring is missing, but bar is present. A good representative example of a classic Sharps carbine.
