Very good condition US Mode 1899 Krag Jorgensen Carbine in .30-40 caliber that is marked “U.S. / MODEL 1899. SPRINGFIELD ARMORY. 350516” on the receiver. Metal finish is original blue showing some normal wear. Bore is about good, gray with good rifling. Stock has original finish and shows a few normal handling marks. Left side of wrist has a sharp clear 1899 dated “JSA” inspector cartouche. Underside of wrist has a sharp clear “circle P” cartouche. Rear sight notch has been deepened. A nice Model 1899 Krag Carbine that will make a fine addition to a collection.
