Very good condition WWI Russian Model 1891 Mosin Nagant Rifle in 7.62 x 54r caliber that has nice Tula Arsenal markings on the barrel and dated 1909. Rifle was captured and reissued by the Finns and has the Finnish army “boxed SA” property stamp on the left side of the barrel shank, along with an unusual “P” marking of unknown significance. Rifle shows uncommon Finnish Civil Guard use with an “S142143” property marking on the right side of the barrel shank for the Sortavala District. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has nonmatching numbers. Metal finish is nice Finn arsenal reblue showing a little normal wear. Bore is very good with strong rifling, a little gray with a little very light pitting. Stock was Finn arsenal refinished and shows some normal handling marks. Right side buttstock has a faint roundel cartouche. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A nice WWI Russian M91 Mosin Nagant Rifle with a rare Civil Guard marking.
