Fine condition WWI Japanese Type 38 Arisaka Rifle in 6.5 x 50mm caliber that was manufactured by Tokyo Arsenal without a series marking. Mum was overstamped with the Tokyo Arsenal symbol, indicating the rifle was removed from Japanese service. This interesting rifle was sold to Russia during WWI and was in Finnish stores when Finland won its independence from Russia on December 6, 1917. This interesting rifle comes with a letter from Postrock Imports stating it was imported from Finland in 2024. Rifle is import marked on the barrel and has all matching assembly numbers except the bolt and floorplate. Metal finish is nice original blue showing very little wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of buttstock has three sharp clear kanji character inspector proof marks. Complete with correct original cleaning rod. A rare Finn used T-38 Arisaka Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
