Good condition antique Prussian Model 1841 Dreyse Needle Gun Rifle that has Danzig Arsenal markings on the receiver and dated 1859. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers. The needle appears to have a broken type, otherwise mechanically functions fine. Metal finish is “in the white” and has been cleaned. Bore is good, mostly bright, with strong rifling and some pitting. Stock has been lightly sanded and has nice even color. Underside of stock has a hairline crack behind the rear band. Right side buttstock and underside of buttstock have Imperial German proof mark cartouches. Rifle is unit marked on the buttplate tang. Complete with correct original clearing rod and socket bayonet. Bayonet is in good condition. Has been cleaned. Lock ring is a little sticky. Fits rifle well. A hard to find Dreyse needle gun that will make a fine addition to a collection.
