Good condition original antique Civil War US Model 1861 Rifle-Musket in .58 percussion caliber. Manufactured by Alfred Jenks & Son and is marked “U.S. / BRIDESBURG” on the lock and dated 1863 along with the American eagle. Mechanically functions fine and tight. Metal is cleaned bright with some scattered gray and brown patina. Bore is gray with good rifling and some pitting. Stock has been refinished. Complete with correct original ramrod. Left side buttstock is carved “J”. Left side of stock has carved characters opposite the lock. A good representative example for your collection.
