Very good condition WWII German 98k Mauser Rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that is a rare Hannover Depot XI assembled example, marked “XI” in front of the serial number on the receiver. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers except the bolt, rear sight, stock, handguard, and sear. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Bore is good, bright with good rifling that shows some wear and a little pitting. Stock has original finish and shows some wear and handling marks. Right side buttstock has faint “eagle H” and Waffenamt cartouches. Underside of wrist has a Waffenamt cartouche. Forend has a repaired duffle cut under the rear band. Complete with cleaning rod and front sight hood. A rare Hannover Depot XI 98k Mauser Rifle that will make a fine addition to a collection.
