Good condition original antique Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver in .31 percussion caliber. Mechanically functions fine and has all matching serial number. Serial number 289xxx, which dates it to manufacture in 1866. Metal finish is worn to brown and gray patinas. The engraved stagecoach scene on the cylinder is worn. 4” octagonal barrel has a good bore with strong rifling and some pitting. Wood grip has original finish and a good tight fit. Right side has a small chip at the toe. A good example of a classic Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver.
