Very good condition original WWI Imperial German army Mode, 1895 Pickelhaube helmet. Leather body has nice form and shows some normal wear. Brass fittings have attractive patina. Cockades have nice original paint. Complete with original leather liner and chinstrap that are soft and supple with some normal wear. Helmet is dated 1916 on the underside of the rear visor and unit marked “23.R.” for the 23rd (2nd Upper Silesian) Infantry Regiment “von Winterfeldt”. A really nice, all original WWI German Pickelhaube for your collection!
