Very good condition WWII US military M1 Carbine that was manufactured by Underwood, as marked on the receiver. Carbine is NOT import marked. Gun has late “H inside shield” marked adjustable rear sight and Inland stock and handguard, otherwise all Underwood parts. Barrel is dated “2-44” for February 1944. Metal finish is nice original gray parkerized showing a little normal wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Type 2 stock was arsenal refinished and shows some handling marks. Left side of stock has a Rock Island Arsenal “RIA/EB” rework cartouche below the rear of the receiver. Left side of oiler cutout is stamped “HI”. A nice Underwood M1 Carbine for your collection.
