Excellent condition French Mle 1936-51 MAS bolt action rifle in 7.5 x 54mm caliber that is serial number F98xxx, which dates it to manufacture in 1956. Rifle is import marked on the receiver and has matching serial numbers on the receiver and bolt. Buttstock does not match. Metal finish is excellent original parkerized. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and crisp edges. Right side buttstock has a sharp clear January 1957 dated roundel cartouche. Rifle features an integral grenade launcher at the muzzle and is complete with correct original leather sling, rubber recoil pad, spike bayonet that stores under the barrel, and manual. A nice French 36-51 MAS rifle that will make a great addition to a collection.
