Very good condition WWII German G98/40 Mannlicher turnbolt rifle in 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57) caliber that is marked “jhv 43” on the receiver for manufacture by Fegyvergyar in 1943. The 98/40 rifle was produced in Hungary to supplement 98k Mauser manufacture. Rifle is NOT import marked and has all matching serial numbers except the bolt and rear sight. Metal finish is original blue showing some wear. Bore is bright and excellent with strong rifling. Stock has original finish and shows some normal handling marks. Underside of forend has a sharp clear matching serial number in front of the triggerguard. Underside of wrist has a Waffenamt. Underside of buttstock has a Waffenamt and is also marked “jhv”. Complete with correct original cleaning rod and front sight hood. A nice WWII German 98/40 Mannlicher Rifle.
